Flyers at Penguins Quick Preview

The Flyers will take on the Penguins this afternoon on national television as they finish their season series. Whoever wins today takes control of 4th place in the Conference although the Flyers still have three games in hand. Still, it is very important for both teams to try to scrape out a victory. The Penguins have been hot lately and the Flyers are trying to find their consistency.

The new line combinations seemed to work well for the Flyers Friday night against the Sabres. The power play also starting clicking, scoring two goals in the affair. And although I thought the refs did a bad job in the game, the Flyers need to do a better job staying out of the box. You don't want to be giving the Penguins power play many chances at all.

Its looking like it will be Marty Biron in net for the Flyers and Marc-Andre Fleury for the Penguins. Biron's been stellar as of late and will need to continue his strong play against the likes of Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. Speaking of them, Richards and Carter will have to lead their respective lines in shutting those two down in order for the Flyers to have a chance at winning. Don't let them start scoring early or it will be a long game.

These teams hate each other. Flyers/Penguins games are my favorite.
